Power Virtuoso

The Power Virtuoso is currently the strongest power build for Mesmer in fractals.

You’ll provide boon removal through Phantasmal Disenchanter and Vicious Expression as well as Sword auto-attack chains when playing the Sword/Focus variant.

The Mesmer provides an optimal skipping toolset for T4 fractals which should be utilized. This build profits from sigils like Superior Sigil of Impact as well as slaying potions such as Powerful Potion of Slaying Scarlet's Armies .

The Power Virtuoso is currently the strongest power build for Mesmer in fractals. It can bring a decent amount of CC while offering good burst damage and great sustained DPS, as well as being able to adapt to bring a ton of extra utility such as Stability or a reflect from the Mesmer toolkit.

The beginner version of the guide will focus on the most important utility options and try to teach the Greatsword version of the build which has a good amount of extra burst while also having notes for the Sword/Focus variant which can be useful for slightly more sustained damage and nice utility through Temporal Curtain .

Take this trait if you’re playing with Sword/Focus instead of Greatsword.

Illusions

You can go this Illusions variant over the Domination traitline when you’re facing Quickness uptime issues to be more self-sufficient in bad groups, if you’re also lacking Might and Fury consider going Persistence of Memory as well.

Mirage

Utilize Mirage for skips!

Elusive Mind , Jaunt and Mirage Thrust along with the typical Mesmer toolset makes it really good for mobility and skips.

Chronomancer

Situationally used for Continuum Split , which can be useful when stealthing your group with Mass Invisibility or any utility you want to use twice. Additionally allows for shield to be equipped giving you a very strong block with Echo of Memory and Deja Vu . In niche cases can be used for some self alacrity through Flow of Time and Improved Alacrity .

Extra Weapons

You can run Sword/Focus instead of Greatsword. This variant is very useful to use in T4 fractals to pull groups of enemies together with Temporal Curtain to cleave them down more easily.
If you want to run one variant on all fights, Greatsword is highly recommended.

Situational Skills

Swap out Mantra of Pain before any other skill.

	A nice source of party-wide Stability.
	For prestacking blades before the fight
	Mainly for Artsariiv to reflect Taw Shot.
	Can be used instead of Signet of Humility if no CC is needed.

Rotation / Skill usage

Step by Step Begginer Rotation

Step 1: Opener

We’ll start with the basic dagger/sword opener.

Start on Dagger/Sword and use Unstable Bladestorm , Bladecall , Phantasmal Swordsman , then swap to Greatsword.

Step 2: Signet of Ether

Next ,we will start with the basic loops. This is the backbone of the rotation and practicing this part for a bit will get you set up well for almost the rest of the rotation.

Do Step 1.
Use Phantasmal Berserker -> Phantasmal Disenchanter .
Reset your cooldowns with Signet of the Ether and cast Phantasmal Berserker -> Phantasmal Disenchanter .
Wait on Greatsword until you can cast one more Phantasmal Berserker , then swap to Dagger/Sword.
Use Phantasmal Swordsman right away.
Wait for Phantasmal Swordsman and then swap back to Greatsword.
Repeat from Step 2.

Step 3: Weapon Skills

In Step 3, we will incorporate other Weapon Skills. We will add multiple skills at once so take your time if you feel like you struggle with this.

Do Step 1.
Do Phantasmal Berserker -> Phantasmal Disenchanter -> Signet of the Ether from Step 2.
Use Phantasmal Berserker -> Mind Stab -> Mirror Blade .
Wait until Mirror Blade off cooldown and cast it
End your Greatsword loop with Mind Stab -> Phantasmal Berserker -> Mirror Blade
Weapon Swap
Start you Dagger/Sword loop with Unstable Bladestorm -> Phantasmal Swordsman -> Bladecall .
Wait until Bladecall off cooldown and cast it
End your Dagger/Sword loop with Unstable Bladestorm -> Bladecall -> Phantasmal Swordsman

Step 4: F1 Shatter

In Step 3, we will incorporate other Weapon Skills. We will add multiple skills at once so take your time if you feel like you struggle with this.

Next, we will incorporate our F1 Shatter Bladesong Harmony .

Use it only when you have 5 Blades stocked.
Use it for the first time after your initial Phantasmal Swordsman .
Use it off-cooldown but only with 5 Blades afterward and after weapons skills.
Example of use on Greatsword Loop Phantasmal Berserker -> Mind Stab -> Mirror Blade -> Bladesong Harmony
Example of use on Dagger/Sword Loop Unstable Bladestorm -> Phantasmal Swordsman -> Bladecall -> Bladesong Harmony .

Step 5: Utility Skills

Lastly, we will add the remaining Utility Skills to the rotation.

Cast Rain of Swords at the start of the fight and then use it off-cooldown.
Cast Mantra of Pain off-cooldown as well. This skill is an instant cast and can therefore be used while casting other skills.

Golem Rotation

	A nice source of party-wide Stability.
	An alternative for Phantasmal Disenchanter on fights with Exposed, and phases that are too quick to use it.
	For prestacking blades before the fight
	For precasting Rain of Swords at bosses, and for double casting Blink for skips.
	When you have issues with boons on the boss (should only be used in extreme cases).
	USed fore reflects on bosses such as Artsariiv to reflect Taw Shot, or Dark Ai to reflect lasers.
	Can be used instead of Signet of Humility if no CC is needed.
Skips
	A 600 leap (only availible as Virtuoso)
	Useable after Blade Leap to return to your original location
	For skipping sections of the fractal for your party.
	1200 range blink, use it for skips!
	For stealthing your party for skips, can be combined with Continuum Split and Prismatic Understanding for 18 seconds of stealth.
	Situational uses such as the Underground Facility door.
	600 range leap, can be cancelled mid-air for slightly more range.
	450 range blink, 3 charges.
	1200-2400(1500 activation) range targeted teleport. This skill is tricky because of its random nature but allows for some skips.
